Eudora Setup (Windows Users)


If it is your first time opening Eudora 5.1 you will be prompted by the "New Account Wizard" which can guide you through the configuration of Eudora 5.1 to both send and receive email. If you are not prompted by the "New Account Wizard" click here for instructions on setting up Eudora 5.1 to both send and receive email.

1. When first opening up Eudora 5.1 you are welcomed by the New Account Wizard.

2. Select the "Create a brand new email account" radio button.

3. Enter your real name in the input field.


 


4. Replace with your account username. Replace with your account domain name. This email address will be displayed in the "From:" field when you compose new email.

5. Replace ith your account username.

 


6. Replace <domain name.com> with your account domain name
.

7. Replace with your account domain name.

8. Hit the "Finish" button.


 


>9. Important: When Eudora 5.1 opens up, from the "Tools" pulldown menu select "Options". Under the "Checking Mail" section select "Never" from the "Secure Sockets when Receiving" pulldown menu.

10. Congratulations! Eudora 5.1 is now configured to both send and receive email.

Setting Up Eudora 5.1 Without The New Account Wizard

If it is your first time opening Eudora 5.1 you will be prompted by the "New Account Wizard" which can guide you through the configuration of Eudora 5.1 to both send and receive email. If you are not prompted by the "New Account Wizard" do the following to set up Eudora 5.1 to both send and receive email.

1. From the "Tools" pulldown menu select "Options". Fill in the boxes as below. Replace with your account domain name. Replace with your account username.

2. Under the "Checking Mail" section select "Never" from the "Secure Sockets when Receiving" pulldown menu.

3. Congratulations! Eudora 5.1 is now configured to both send and receive email.
